The Education Achievement Service is seeking to appoint a highly effective leader to the post of Assistant Director (School Improvement).

This is an exciting opportunity for an inspirational and progressive leader to build on their successes to date and work in direct partnership with school improvement leaders across the five local authorities to support and enable schools and education settings to thrive as effective learning organisations. Working as part of a wider leadership team, the successful candidate will lead a team of Principal School Improvement Partners and School Improvement Partners to deliver proactive and focused school improvement support across the South East Wales region.

 The successful candidate will join the senior leadership team and will be responsible for leading on the EAS’ strategic approach for school improvement, ensuring appropriate and timely support for schools linked to their self-evaluation and individual priorities for improvement.

Please note, candidates wishing to pursue the secondment option must secure permission from their Governing Body to be released from their school for the period of the secondment prior to applying. At the end of the secondment period, the successful candidate will return to their school.

Duration: Available on a full time, permanent basis. Secondment options will also be considered.

Salary: Soulbury 30-33 (36) £73,213 - £76,818 (£80,559 inclusive of SPAs) pending pay award or an appropriate secondment rate.
