Working as part of the wider school improvement team, the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting Local Authorities in their statutory responsibilities with regards to the standing Advisory Council for Religious Education (SACRE) and for providing guidance, support and professional learning to schools and settings with regards to the embedding of Religion, Values and Ethics into the Humanities curriculum. The successful candidate will need to have excellent classroom practice and knowledge of teaching and learning in Religion, Values and Ethics, including effective strategies for improvement and the ability to secure high levels of performance and progress for all groups of learners. With a very good understanding of formative and summative assessments and secure understanding of national priorities in education, including SACRE requirements, the successful applicant will be able to articulate a clear vision for improvement and approaches that lead to high quality learning and pupil progress.
The successful candidate will be offered a comprehensive mentoring package to support their induction into the role.
