The Education Achievement Service, is seeking to expand the existing team, by seconding or appointing a highly effective leader to the post of Professional Learning Lead Partner (Leadership and Teaching).

Working as part of the wider professional learning team, the successful candidate will be responsible for the development of professional learning designed to support leadership and teaching in schools across the region. They will collaborate with their Assistant Director, Professional Learning team, School Improvement Partners and school leaders to ensure the highest possible standards of achievement, and work with leaders to challenge expectations and develop strategies for improvement.

The EAS offers a unique opportunity to shape and develop professional learning, particularly around leadership and teaching.  We are looking for:

  • an excellent leader with a passion and proven record of creating effective collaborations within and between schools and/or organisations;
  • an innovative thinker with a track record of establishing a strong performance culture including effective performance measures, the evaluation of service quality and improving service delivery which meets the needs and expectations of customers;
  • a skilled, inspirational leader with the ability to work across, and lead, multi-disciplinary teams;
  • an individual who is effective in self-evaluating their own and others’ work.
  • an individual with sound knowledge and experience of the national strategy for educational research and enquiry and “Talk Pedagogy”.

Please note, candidates wishing to pursue the opportunity on a secondment basis must secure permission from their Governing Body/ Headteacher to be released from their school for the period of the secondment prior to applying, and this must be indicated in their completed application. At the end of the secondment period, the successful candidate will return to their school.

Salary: Soulbury 17 to 20 (23), £58,112 – £61,337 (£64,985 inclusive of SPAs) or appropriate secondment rate.
