Equity Health and Wellbeing

We believe every learner must be respected and challenged to achieve the best that they are capable of. Children and young learners who have strong relationships and a positive sense of themselves, who can understand and manage their own health and emotions and deliver a high level of resilience are in a better position to reach their full potential in the future.

We provide professional learning for all schools and practitioners within the region on supporting all learners from the most vulnerable to those who are more able and talented. We also support schools in ensuring that learner wellbeing is at the heart of their provision, including advice and guidance in supporting Ethnic Minority Learners, those who have English as an Additional language, Children that are ‘Looked After’, those who have experienced Adverse Childhood Experiences, and how schools can develop their family and Community engagement.

To find out more please visit our Supporting our Schools Site (SOSS), to find a broad range of information, guidance and resources for practitioners across the region.
