The Languages, Literacy and Communication team is a team of multi-disciplinary primary and secondary advisors working in schools to support leadership, teaching, learning and assessment across the various language disciplines in both Welsh and English medium schools.
Our aim is to support the effective teaching of language skills and literacy across all curriculum areas and develop a programme of study that is both rich, engaging and challenging. The team support the delivery of the regional Literacy Strategy, the Regional Welsh Medium Education Strategy and the Global Futures Strategy across the region. We are working together across disciplines in line with the Curriculum for Wales approach to languages, literacy and communication, sharing pedagogical approaches to support the development of a language rich curriculum.
