The vision for the STEM and Wider Curriculum Team is to improve learner outcomes and experience throughout all phases through effective support and collaboration with practitioners across the region.
We have subject specialist advisers and LNS to support in Art and Design, Drama, Design Technology, Geography, History, ICT, Music, PE, Skills Challenge Certificate, RE, Maths and Science.
Our bespoke support addresses the current curriculum including the new GCSE specifications as well as supporting schools to implement the new Curriculum for Wales through providing high level professional learning opportunities to encourage innovation and creativity amongst our practitioners. The team focuses on improving Teaching and Learning through modelling and joint planning alongside effective assessment. Targeted support is also given to middle leaders across the region through effective leadership coaching which includes areas such as developing and implementing a vision, systems and structures which drive improvements in standards and provision and using data analysis to effectively narrow gaps in attainment.
